I Camiseta Flamengo actually ran this race two years ago and had a terrific time! This really is an optimal time of year for running temperature-wise and cookies-everywhere-so-you-should-be-well-fueled-wise.

The race starts and ends at the LA Fairplex in Pomona. So, it’s a terrific central location for all my southern California readers/runners! There is a 5k Run/Walk on Saturday December 14th too.

You can check out the course here. part of it goes through Bonelli regional Park, which is pretty!

Both Santa to Sea and the holiday half are collecting toys for toys for Tots! Please bring an unwrapped toy to donate on race day if you are able. It’s a really terrific cause and today is #GivingTuesday so I thought I’d throw out a reminder!

It’s odd to be home for the first time in weeks and weeks. I keep feeling like I’m meant to be somewhere running or eating or repeating.

It’s kinda sad actually, Camiseta Real Betis Balompie I wish I was running a race this weekend! keeps me busy and delighted and crazy. just like I like it.

Instead of a race I treated myself to a great lil walk with my head motion pictures and celebrated Pancake Sunday!

I gotten Camiseta Feyenoord this Gluten complimentary Pancake mix a while back out of curiosity/because it was on sale and the other kind wasn’t (same as that tragic pizza dough). I am a sucka for a sale.

Anyway.

One bad thing about gluten complimentary food is it typically has less fiber than whole grain versions. This is no bueno, you gotta keep it regular people – especially when you’re running races hello! So, when a rep from Benefiber contacted me  to use their powder I knew I wanted to use it in a few dishes I make that are lacking in the fiber department.

The other night I made breakfast for dinner with Chilaquiles. I used corn tortillas, eggs and TJ’s spinach dip. Chop tortillas. cook ‘em up.

Mix eggs & dash of milk (this is where I added a serving of Benefiber). Cook. add Spinach dip. Done. I thought it was amazing.

This morning I cooked up the pancake mix according to package directions and added a serving of the powder. (You can’t taste it at all.)

I made one of the pancakes a savory version with Smokey Bacon Cheddar that Cabot sent me. Um. I’m not a big bacon person but my family thought it was epic.

Pancake Sunday. You’re doing it right.

1.5 = took me nearly an hour and a half to get to my parents’ house on Monday. I went AFTER rush hour and it was a holiday so I have no idea what gives. Los Angeles traffic is for real.

16 = the age of my ‘little’ brother. Except, he looks like a grown a** man. ‘’

2 = Popcorn is my 2nd favorite food (after watermelon).

22 = number of different Camiseta Club America snacks I had today.

This includes Lorissa’s kitchen beef jerky. It’s odd that I’m not a big meat eater but I dig fancy beef jerky when I want something salty. They have chicken jerky too but I ate all that already.

1 or 2 = the number of selfies my brother is ready to take with me before he is done. So we either get a good shot or deal with it.

12 = number of toppings I got on my subway sandwich. I tried the new Rotisserie chicken – I like it!

2 = number of new pairs of Brooks running shoes I just got! plus a few running tops and that fancy sports bra. I was incredibly curious about the sports bra considering that it’s meant to be ‘medium support’ and looks like a normal bra. I took one for the team and bought it so I can let ya know.

0 = number of bags of Brownie Brittle you must buy. Yeah, I didn’t really like it. I feel like it’s kind of dry. any individual else?

24 = I signed up to bring Camiseta FC Tokyo 2 dozen hard-boiled eggs to Bible study this morning.

30 = spf of my appeal Counter Sunblock.

I got a incredibly awesome bag filled with appeal Counter creams and soaps and a mini-sunblock at ShiftCon and really loved it. So, I’m slowly trying all their make-up and lotions.

This weekend I ran up Las vegas Blvd. in the morning (not for the race). I saw a number of homeless people asking for help. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anything to provide them. however just since I didn’t have anything right then doesn’t mean I still can’t help.

This time of year is difficult for people who don’t have sufficient food or a warm location to sleep. It’s difficult for households who don’t have sufficient money for Christmas provides for their kids. It’s difficult for people who have lost liked ones as well as feel lonely.

There are tons of locations where I can help. I’m going to do some research study to figure out what speaks to me as well as I motivate you to do the exact same if you are able. Pass it on.

Oh as well as – I had hot coffee. That means it was COLD. I 100% prefer iced coffee, however like to drink hot when I’m at a restaurant (because they’re always so cold!) or when it’s super chilly as well as I requirement to warm up.

Lunch was a random mix of things I was craving… eggs since I desired something with protein, carrots with hummus as well as 2 corn tortillas.

Sometime in the afternoon I had almonds, grapes as well as an orange.

Dinner was a salad with a poultry patty on the side (frozen from Costco). I ate a lot of roasted broccoli while putting it together too.

I hit up Trader Joe’s yesterday as well as lastly got the new Mixed Nut Butter. I had a piece of toast with it for a nighttime snack.

And I believe this quite much sums up my life as well as why I can’t eat clean…

My goal with the ‘cleanse’ is not to limit calories, however limit crap. Basically, it’s a crap cleanse. I am all about ‘treat yo self’! however that has gotten a bit out of manage lately (see: eating half a lots donuts on Valentine’s Day and/or 4 cupcakes this weekend).

You can go on a “healthy eating challenge” without it being a diet.  The key is to focus on eating whole foods as well as not junk food. get unhealthy food out of your house. plan your meals – a healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as snacks. have healthy choices in the house. It doesn’t have to be restrictive. Make sure you’re getting sufficient calories – however they’re calories from great you like as well as that’s great for you.

We all have been told about the magic of Photoshop. We have been told not compare ourselves to the models in magazines because it’s not ‘real’. We have been told real women can be curvy and it’s okay. We have been told to love and accept our bodies.

But it’s hard.

It’s hard not to compare myself to the gorgeous housewives. The girl with the perfectly flat stomach at the beach. The flawless model wearing the new running shorts I want. I bet she never gets chub Camiseta Real Madrid rub…

Some days I think I have it together. Then, I have a bad day where I feel like I have as many issues as ever….with food. with relationships. with my thighs.

I have been told I am too LOUD. and bossy. and chubby. I am blessed enough to come from a family where my mother never criticized my body or weight. I don’t have snarky friends. I am very lucky to surround myself with people who love me just as I am.

So most of these labels I have placed upon myself. Right?

Since it didn’t come from people around me I have always figured my pain is self inflicted. I told myself I was too fat, right?

Well, I am just now realizing it came from somewhere outside on some level. and I don’t want to continue passing on that message. So I pass these pieces on to you.

Take what you need from this. Leave what you don’t. pass on the positive.

I feel like there are a lot of 2 week, 5 week, 52 week clean eating / Advocare / Insert Your fave Cleanse / challenges going on lately. I’ve been watching other’s weight loss and toning progress and getting super motivated!

Examples: Janetha’s 24 Day challenge and mama Laughlin’s 2 Week Cleanse.

This time of year is always a challenge for me. I love all the holiday food that Oct 31st – Jan 1st bring – Reese’s PB Cups, Pumpkin Pie, Stuffing, Eggnog, Tamales…. Yes.

But, I often end up feeling out of control and in the past this is the time of year when I join Weight Watchers out of desperation. For whatever reason WW doesn’t work well for me so I end up quitting.

(I know, I could have real problems so I’m not complaining just talking to myself online.)

This year I don’t want to repeat the cycle so I’m doing my own mini-5 week challenge to stay accountable to myself. It’s nothing crazy, but a personal plan to try and stay ‘normal’ (which is obviously hard for me). I just wanted to  share my brain thoughts this morning and let ya know I weighed in, took pics and checked my body fat yesterday (for the first time in months) to keep myself in check for the next few weeks – I’m aiming to maintain during this time more than anything else!

Last night I made an remarkable and ‘clean’ dinner of eggs with asparagus and my roasted butternut squash recipe. love this.

In other news – did you see the Food Network’s live feed thing where Giada almost chopped off her finger? I just caught the end of it when it already happened, but the way they were talking about the cut it seemed like a big deal! <- pic on that link of her finger. I am 100% convinced that will happen to me one day because I have NO idea how to chop stuff. plus I have been told I “open boxes like I have a death wish” – which happens daily with all the stuff I get for RER!
