I ate 8 pounds of grapes in about 24 hours. I am a grape eating machine. If there are any type of grapes in my home I will eat them non-stop up until they’re gone so I usually go to the grocery store at least 5 times a week as well as buy grapes.

Then, I eat them all as well as have to go back. I’m utilized to it as well as usually buy a semi-reasonable amount understanding I’ll eat them right away.

Yes, I still eat grapes on the method house from the store even though they are filthy as well as I when discovered a black widow in my grapes. I am an addict as well as obviously willing to die for a grape fix.

I meant to stretch after my run this morning however laying on the floor with vegas was more fun.

I eat a snack while making a snack. I likewise eat a snack while making lunch. Today it was half an avocado on a tortilla with carne asada seasoning.

At least my lunch was healthy… I am so proud of myself for meal prepping!!

This week I was speaking to a new buddy on the phone as well as they stated that people are as well consumed with food. He went on a rant about exactly how everybody is constantly preoccupied with food as well as food shows as well as he doesn’t get it. He desires he might just eat when a day as well as not concern about it. as well as he gets frustrated you have to take time to cook as well as eat however get hungry once again in a few hours anyway. (This is a mini-version of the rant.)

To which I stated – I DON’T get YOU AT ALL.

And kinda went on my own rant about exactly how they don’t get me. I should have been open minded however food is kinda a huge Camiseta Tigres UANL offer in my world. next time I’ll think about one more opinion.

I did not take the stairs since I was running late to my doctor’s visit this morning. Does guilt shed calories?

I had a check-in visit for my HPV situation.  We’ll talk about that soon.

After my visit I hit up Dunkin Donuts since I felt like I deserved a treat after. It made me happy.

Then, I shook up some fruit punch Spark when I got Camiseta Santos Laguna home. however the combo of both coffee as well as stimulate within an hour  is going to have me bouncing off the walls!

Despite my obsession with grapes I never buy stimulate in Grape flavor. Is that a major fail? Do you get like that flavor??

Confession…

Skinny Runner sent me a box of chocolates since she feels truly guilty about moving away. At least I believe that’s why she sent them? perhaps it’s our friendiversary?! The point is – I still miss her. Which is kinda nice as well as likewise kinda means I requirement to make a new buddy already!

All I understand is these are remarkable champagne truffles. This is what happiness tastes like…

Note: While composing this Camiseta FC Utrecht publish a buddy called as well as stated they were waiting on a phone call from their manager that was 2 hours late. I said, “Is it urgent? Can it wait till Monday?” as well as they stated – “You mean tomorrow? Friday.”

Yep. obviously I still want to believe it’s Friday.

Chocolate OR Peanut Butter

I always choose to run first thing in the morning, but blog stuff distracted me and I didn’t realize it was getting so late. I snacked on cherries while working, but my stomach started to grumble and I had to decide – run or eat? Training for the LA Marathon with LA weather forecasters and Do you know my favorite food in the world?

All last week the weather forecasters alerted everyone in southern California that the greatest storm in the entire history of the world was going to hit the area this weekend. There were wind and flood warnings. people were getting sandbags. We were alerted to that it would be non-stop raining from Friday through Saturday.

I checked the hourly forecast and saw it was meant to rain all day Friday and Saturday. but it would stop by Sunday morning so I rescheduled my long run from Saturday to Sunday.

LA Marathon training and Rain
Friday was pretty bad. Mid-morning the storm rolled in and it rained incredibly hard and was very windy. My power even shut off around 4pm!!! I heard a big tree was blown down and knocked into a power line.

That is crazy – we’ve had rolling blackouts because of power overuse in the summer – but the power has never been out because of a storm!

Luckily, I lit some candles and had an excuse to get take-out for dinner.

Saturday morning it was gloomy, but it wasn’t raining. I was planning on using it as a rest day, but made a decision to get outside for a few minutes before it started storming again. I got a slow 4 mile run in while surveying the storm aftermath.

The running path was covered in leaves and branches and small family pets and puddles and candy wrappers and… it was a little obstacle course in some places.

And there were two huge trees down in the park near me! It is sad, but also kind of funny Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Bélgica because it just looks like they gave up and just laid down.

But… it never really rained on Saturday!

I planned to stay inside and enjoy motion pictures and drink cocoa white wine and have a delighted little lazy day.  I really would have preferred to RUN. I love weekend long runs.

So, I was a little bummed I didn’t just keep my running schedule (I really couldn’t though because the hourly forecast said it was Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Países Bajos storming every hour and my legs were worn out from Friday’s run).

Luckily, I lived to run another day. (Dramatic much?)

I did my long run Sunday and the cool weather was great for running!

Vegas supervised me putting on sunblock…

and compression socks… as I got ready to hit the road.

Pre-run I had one of those new Clif Bars with the nut butter in the middle. They are amazing.

Pro Tip: put them in the microwave for a few seconds. Ahhhh-mazing.

I also had spark during my run and Clif shot blocks.

 

Post-run I had some treats… carrot cake bar and an almond croissant. I wasn’t incredibly hungry, but I’m a sucker for carrot cake.

The highlight of my weekend was dinner Camiseta Borussia Dortmund though. I was craving my favorite food all day and had been planning grabbing take-out considering that mile 3 of my run…

My favorite type of food in the world is…

Chinese food! Did you know that? I feel like I don’t talk about it half as much as I think about it or eat it!

The #1 reason I went to China was because I wanted to eat real authentic Chinese food for 10 days straight.

The #2 reason is the whole incredibly rich history and culture situation plus the people and sights and sounds of a new place. Love.

Anyway. I love Chinese food.

The morals of this story are:

1.  You can’t depend on meteorologists from southern California because they don’t know what’s the deal with storms.

2. You have to be flexible with marathon training and work with the weather as best you can.

3. You’ve gotta step around the obstacles in running (and life).

4. Chinese food is life. buy extra. Or go to China. Or all of the above.

Did I Run 2016 Miles Last Year?

Hi! pleased new Year!! pleased Monday!!! pleased happy pappy pappy! <- remind me to tell you about that. Anyway. Let’s talk about all the fun and food and running from this weekend! I had a blast, how ‘bout you?  (Oh, and we need to talk about if I hit my goal to run the year  of 2016 miles.) Someone else partied way too hard too… look at this lil hungover kitty.

He doesn’t drink alcohol, but he did hit the candy canes pretty hard. I was cleaning up the wrapping stuff and had a few candy canes with lil jelly candies attached to them laying on the couch. Well, vegas HATES them. Or at least that’s how he acted because he bit at the candies and ripped them apart.

Then, in typical cat fashion… just walked away.

Yesterday morning I dragged my sad carcass out of bed and ran 11 miles. It was a beautiful day!  I really love fresh starts and I spent some time contemplating my new year’s resolutions and goals. much more on that coming soon! I am very thrilled about new running and other life goals.

I spent a lot of the day working working working because I took time off between Christmas and new Year’s. now the emails and writing projects are piled up! I worked for a few hours and then all of a sudden felt so hungry I had to stop, drop and roll (to the fridge).

But what I really wanted was Chinese food. So, I hit up the local Chinese Buffet and got a ‘to-go’ container of my favorites. Then, when I got back home I added veggies to bulk it up. This is my favorite thing.

This place has small donuts / huge donut holes and I grabbed one of those too. I turned on the oven to warm and put it in there to stay toasty while I ate and then had it as dessert. DO THAT. always warm up your donuts if they’re Camiseta OGC Nice not very fresh from the shop. always always always.

As I was cleaning up yesterday I chose to put up all the Christmas cards I got. They made me smile. I always joke that I only have 1 friend, but I think these peeps are my friends so maybe I have 7 whole friends! Boom!! Merry new year friendship day to me!

Run the Year

One of my 2016 goals was to run the year = run 2,016 miles in 2016.

I started the year by trying Camiseta Cruz Azul to use a run keeper app to track my mileage. I don’t remember why I stopped using it or if I just forgot or what.

For me the hardest part of running the year would be actually keeping track of the miles. Yes, the hard part was not actually running over 2,000 miles – it’s just keeping count of them. I am the worst runner in that I don’t really know my numbers like weekly mileage, average pace, marathons / half-marathons run… essentially the typical stuff that runners use to track their progress.

Numbers don’t hang out in my brain, I think all the dirty words crowded them out.

Anyway.

When I first set this goal I just broke it down by week and figured to run 2,016 miles in 52 weeks = I have to run about 39 miles a week.

I run around that many weeks so I figured I’d hit the goal and not really have to obsess about the numbers. Half-way through the year I checked on my goals and knew I wasn’t keeping great track, but was also running enough to hit the goal so I wasn’t concerned about it.

Yesterday someone asked on Instagram if I had hit my goal and run 2,000 miles this year.  Truthfully, I kinda thought I had hit it for sure but didn’t know how to double check. and I didn’t think it was the smartest running goal after-all because it was just about mileage and not about hitting a great pr or running better.

I uploaded my Garmin data to check and was reminded that I got my current view at the end of June. So I only have half the year’s mileage!

I grabbed my older Garmin to submit the data and realized I had deleted the activities on it. BUSTED. This is evidence #86 that I am the worst runner. I legit just got a message “History full” at some point and deleted it instead of submitting it.

But based on the second half of the year I think it’s safe to say I ran 2,016 miles. here are my stats from end of June to December:

June 45.13

July 237.68

August 250.46

September 241.88

October 233.48

November 210.18

December 226.50

Total mileage from June to December: 1445 miles

2016 – 1445 = 571 miles

So, I just needed to run 571 miles from January to may to have hit the goal. My average monthly mileage in the second half of the year was 206 miles. plus I did find 2 days of stats on the Garmin from January – 15 miles and 5.92 miles, which adds up to 20.92 miles and takes the missing mileage to 551 miles.Yes, I completely ran 551 miles from January to May. “Totally” is a mathematic term used in situations where the numbers are assumed based on lazy estimations because you don’t want to go through each individual running blog and see if you discussed how much you ran that day.

Final mileage for the year: hello, I just said I had no idea. but I’m 99% sure I ran at least 2,016 miles.

Moral of the story: Running is simpler than counting and/or staying organized. The end.

Next year I’m going to eat 217 donuts and keep track of that by acquiring weight.

I am running the race as part of my partnership with the board. and I know what you’re thinking – Yes, I think they’re just tricking me to go out there and cut the watermelon for 50,000 people. Hey, someone’s gotta do it.

It’s about time running and watermelon have an official partnership! I’ve always known they were a match!

Why watermelon and running?

Um. because it’s awesome.

But there’s also science.

Most of us associate bananas with being a good ‘runner’s food’ because it’s high in potassium, but so is watermelon. and watermelon also is 92% water to help rehydrate you. That indicates 2 cups of watermelon gives ya something like 1.5 cups of water.

I looked this up on Calorie King: Watermelon and Banana stats for comparable serving sizes.

Nice.

Question: Are you artistic?

I’m not. undoubtedly RER is my only creative outlet and that’s saying something…

I have been quite much consumed with the Burrito Salad from Café Rio because we went there last Thursday night before our flight. I don’t understand what it was, however I RAVED about that meal (out loud in a truly embarrassing manner) the entire time I was eating as well as still want more!

Café Rio salad:

They get points for a freshly handcrafted tortilla.

I get points for being extremely generous with the guacamole as well as being Mexican.

I recreated it once again today – this time around with both chips as Camiseta Liverpool FC well as a tortilla for carb-age.

The rest of today’s eats included polishing off a tub of cherries I purchased on Monday. Ben doesn’t like cherries (yes, I’m thinking about divorcing him over this fact. We’re going to counseling) so it was all me. Camiseta Barcelona I’m not proud.

Cherries are my preferred thing. Ever.

I cut my Camiseta Southampton FC 6 miler short today since I didn’t want to be late for an essential seminar call. I have work this afternoon as well as truly requirement to get in that additional 2 miles at some point! See ya later

That Time I went to therapy 3 Times in 1 Week

Hi there… Camiseta Borussia Dortmund This has been a difficult week so far. Yes, I went to therapy 3 times this week. (Note that was by Wednesday!) What is the deal??

I don’t even understand exactly how to describe it… or perhaps I don’t understand if I should? I don’t have time to compose a book describing the whole story so let me just state a few things since it feels much better to get it off my chest. I feel lost.  as well as that’s frightening as well as sad, ya know?

I’ve been doing the back as well as forth thing with Ben for about Camiseta Copa Mundial de Fútbol two years now. We have had a few incredibly poor times as well as a great deal of incredibly great ones. We like each other. however there are a great deal of elements that have kept us from moving ahead as well as getting on the exact same page. To state ‘it’s complicated’ is an understatement.

There’s a great deal of hurt from things we’ve each performed in the past. Forgiveness is a work in progress. We were increased extremely differently. We have different priorities in life. There have been household emergencies that have triggered us to be apart Camiseta Aston Villa FC for long periods. Health, work, family, money, travel… so lots of things have added anxiety to an already delicate situation. But, there’s still like there so we haven’t shut it down completely.

I’ve thought, ‘All we have is that we like each other… however nothing else’.

Despite all the difficulties we’ve tried to repair things. A for effort?  however we hit a bump in the road last week… really it was a lot more like a brick wall in the road. as well as after walking away from a unfavorable therapy session on Tuesday I expressed my worry as well as we had one more last minute session last night.

Oh, as well as I was having a hard time with my thoughts so much I had a session with my one-on-one therapist earlier in the day (I see her right here as well as there when I just want to bounce things off a neutral third party).

I am truly having a hard time with this. The poor thing about therapists is they don’t just say,”Get it together as well as do x-y-z.” (Then, “Boom. issue resolved that’ll be $300.”)

But nooooo, nobody wishes to be accountable for your life options as well as happiness. (Okay I assumption that’s fair.)

Oh my gosh. Not really.

I just wished to share that I’m having a difficult bit time over here. I can’t come out guns blazing with all the details since it’s not fair as well as not truly possible to share a short version that would provide the whole picture.

I just truly appreciate you reading RER even when it’s not about running or eating or repeating as well as just me sharing my life.
