hey there from San Jose, CA! I’m here for the us Women’s Gymnastics trials. It’s incredibly exciting and fun!! but first let’s talk about running and eating…

After my run I got ready and headed to the airport. I just realized it was my first time getting an Uber from home. I normally just use them when I’m traveling! Anyway. I flew from Orange county to San Jose and it was easy breezy. I think the flight was 1 hour.

I have a bunch of small cuts / chafe marks from my sports bra on my chest and under my arms. It’s not a big deal but I observed a few random looks that reminded me I must cover them up or describe to everyone that Camiseta AZ Alkmaar I run and often your clothes leave marks on long runs… blah blah blah.

 

Okay let’s get to San Jose!

It is stunning here. GORGEOUS. I’m a big fan of California and whenever I see a new amazing place I want to step there forever.

In bee sting news- the sting on my butt got WORSE. It seemed fine yesterday (or maybe I didn’t realize?) but I woke up this morning with a substantial welt. Then, I got back from my run and checked it again – it was bigger and redder and disgusting-er. Gross.

I sent a picture to my one pal Katie aka the nurse professional and she said to just give all my stuff away and walk toward the light. Fantastic.

But I made a decision to push through for another night because I didn’t want to miss dinner or the us gymnastics trials.

 

After dinner and M&Ms the group headed to the SAP center for the trials. We’re here with CorePower (they sponsor one of the star athletes).
